Carpinus "the King" orientalis
Collected March 2013 and recovering nicely..
First comes the lumberman, then the tree becomes a dish (for cows) and then.... one day, the tree meets his new master.
There are some trees in nature that have the destiny to be potted in a shallow container and be exhibited :)

New Hornbeam, Carpinus orientalis
This is one of my favorite Carpinus which was collected this winter. Good nebari, great trunk movement and branch stucture. Yamadori material has great potentials and i am willing to see this in the next 3 to 5 years...
